Made a "graduation quilt" , a d9p, and ripped out one little block 5 times and after that I said forget it; it is supposed to be that way. It's a easy quilt to do and I really like the looks of it, but really had to watch nesting those seams.

My seam ripper and I are on very close terms. :D

I think I'll try - maybe - three times - and then it's stop and rethink - or decide it's "good enough"

The seam ripper and I are best friends. My most used tool in the quilt room after the sewing machine and iron, some days more than others. One six and half inch block that finishes six inches took me two days to make and I lost count of how many times I ripped it out and tried again. I was finally successful, so there is a good ending to this story. Others that don't, are packed away in the closet never to see daylight again...and there are a few quilts there, too.

Jack and I became close enough friends to be on a first name basis when I was making my Avatar. There were a few seams I ripped 3 or 4 times until I got it to lay flat. Well, flat enough to quilt it anyway lol.

Well I’m so anal that I spent 3 days ripping all the quilting out of a quilt that was 7 inches from being completed because I had a pleat i wasn’t willing to ignore! It is 76x90, and a very intensive design. Anna

The most I have done is three. I'm glad I was by myself. I do not like having to explain why I am talking to myself.

Seven times yesterday.

I’m no stranger to a ripper either, but I had a very wise quilter tell me that after three rip outs the fabric is getting compromised. So, going on that premise it makes me do my best not to rip!
