The best way to store fabric is in a way that you can see it well. When I had my fabric all stored in plastic tubs, it couldn't inspire me, because I had to take off the tub lid and dig or dump it all out to really see it. Now I store my pieces on comic book boards and stand them up like little bolts of fabric in a bookshelf. Much better!

I sometimes wish my fabric would go away. I have way too much stash. I am planning to leave my stash to a good friend and after that it goes to my quilting groups. I keep the fabric in clear plastic tubs and am constantly playing and looking through it. I try to use my stash but I still like to buy new stuff. It's a problem! LOL!!!

Yardage is ruler folded on shelves, 1 yard up to 1 1/2 yards are folded to fit and in see thru plastic containers that fit on shelves, smaller cuts and fat quarters are in drawers. There are maybe 300 to 400 comic boards (my least favorite). Cut scraps that are squares, bricks and strips are in see thru plastic containers. I am very happy and grateful for my stash and would not know how to make a quilt without it. I buy only if I need to complete a quilt and have found my stash to be such a gift for me.

Me too. Love my stash but have way too much. From the start I promised myself that I would not waste money on extra fabric. But, it is beautiful to look at and can bring a smile to my face every time. Worth it? Yep

Yes, stash building is personal - I definitely agree. I have my stash in those fabric bins from Ikea and H. Depot and then stored on a shelf.

I like that "When it seems like the world is falling to pieces remember that the pieces are falling into place. We are
nearing closer t he End Times" nygal, you obviously are reading your Bible!
