Does anyone know anything about the husqvarna viking platinum 730 quilting sewing machine? I may have a chance to buy one... I am looking for a new(er) machine. Thanks!

I got an 830 last year and I love it! I don't use it to quilt but I have used it for piecing (love the 1/4" setting) and have used the decorative stitches. I haven't explored all it's possibilities but I love the good solid machine that it is.

I don't have any experience with that particular machine, but I own a Husqvarna Viking Designer SE and previously had the Husqvarna Viking #1+. I think Husqvarna Viking makes a great machine; very reliable, beautiful stitch, problem free tension, etc. If the price is right, buy it. :)

I have the Viking Platinum 755. It's a solid machine with a lot of good features and plenty of stitches.

Thank you all for your input. I did try the search function, and found lots of info about lots of Vikings, but nothing specifically about this model. So, I am still thinking about it.... Guess I should go sew on it, and see if I like it. :?:

Did you ever buy it? There is one for sale locally for $600.00 obo. Just curious as to how you have liked it so far, if you got it.
Thank you! |

Thank you! Teresa |
The 830 record is one of the best machines ever made (IMHO  ) I was thinking of parting ways with it, but changed my mind-resale prices are great for buyers, it is quite a buyer's market. I did see one on ebay for a buy-it-now price of $950.00, and I was wondering what they are smoking.
