Sometimes you cannot tell which side is the top. I am glad you are using those decorative stitches. It will be OK!

Oh my, I did that once too. I put a label between two sections of fabric forming a strip and then hand stitched this strip over the seam. No one was the wiser and it looked like it was intentional.

I think your plan is brilliant! When I lived in Hawaii the style was to make Hawaiian shirts using the bright prints wrong side out, to tone them down. So who's to say you aren't starting a trend?
