Lucky lucky you, best wishes for a long life together! I love the attitude "who needs a guest room anyway". I talked myself into a similar conclusion this morning, my stepdaughter and granddaughter called last night and said they are coming out (we are out in the country, they are about 45 minutes away). They will be here around noon so I said I will make lunch. I considered cleaning off my dining room table that I have taken over as my sewing area, but after very little self-deliberation, I decided we can eat lunch at the kitchen island just fine, my quilting needs to stay where it is comfortable.

I also have limited space for my longarm. I put wheels on the frame, and when not in use, I push it against the wall.

As our children left home to be on their own, their rooms have been filled. The girls' bedroom is now the sewing/scrapbooking/home office room (YIKES!). The boy's room has a daybed, computer, and lots of bookshelves with one rocking chair.
Works fine for DH and me. You have fun with your new guest.
