Wish i had a sewing room to clean hard keeping threads and dog hair apart in the living room

when I'm not sure which fabric goes with which project because they all got mixed together. When I can see where the cutting table is supposed to be, just can't see the cutting table.

I know it's time to clean my room when I have so much stuff piled up on my book shelf and it falls over.... bugged my hubby to buy me more shelves. I got a good deal on 2 shelves 7 feet tall at Walmart for $25.00. It's nice to get more organized.

Think most quilters are the same. Seems like a waste of time because we know it won't stay clean. Enjoyed reading the responses to this.

When I can't find the cutting table.

Mine has to get cleaned after a sewing spurt! I cannot work in a cluttered or dirty space. I sometimes think it is a type of procrastination, to get started on something again. Cleaning and organizing makes the sewing go smoothly and gets my mind ordered to begin again.:)

Other than the dust bunnies...it's when I can't find anything including my sanity.

When I can't find my cat !!!!

When I can't walk in without tripping over something....when I can't find my ironing board....when my dogs don't have room to lay down....when my children can't find me-wait, I like that one! ha ha ha ha ha

I have to clean my sewing room when my dog, who follows me everywhere, lays down in the doorway & just gives me that look. You know, the one that says, you must be nuts if you think I'm going in there!!! He started doing this after a pile of fabric fell off my table onto him. So I don't really blame him. It's all on me. Once I start sewing a project, I get tunnel vision.
