Taffy. Hello! sorry we haven't been friendly. IF you want to generate some comments start a thread that has strong feelings attached to it, like this does, or "when you become a GOOD quilter do you quit using patterns?" or "What is the difference in a random pattern, a crazy quilt, and a scrappy quilt?" or "I enjoy being a member of the quilt police. I notice a lot of you need instructions!"LOL a lot!!!!!

I personally like when members list where they are from. Has given me at least one opportunity to meet one other fairly close QB member in person and after the holidays I'm going to meet another. Glad you wrote coopah!

I agree with you, I have met some great friends on the net over the years, but none of them quilt how funny lol If anyone knows anyone from Fort Smith, Arkansas or close please let me know. I need help to learn or to give me lessons. I know a shop but her class wont begin until after the first of the year.
Thanks Judy |
Hi Taffy very glad to meet you. I am new here and I am still learning my way around the place. I hope to see more posts from you.

I've had my state on mine since I joined the board and no harm has come to me.

I don't have a problem listing my general whereabouts but a lot of QBers don't seem to be aware that this is a public forum and can give more info than they perhaps would if they realised this.
I have read everyone's location as I scrolled through all 11 pages in the hope of seeing another Aussie without any luck (I hope I didn't miss anyone). I find it very interesting to see where everyone is from, especially when mention is made of weather/wildlife etc. that I would not find in my area or even perhaps in my country. |
Hi Taffy - waving from Australia.

Happy holidays checking my profile:thumbup:

I don't read over in that thread, but I think there is a thread for new members to tell a bit about themselves and to say hi. It's called "Introduce yourself." However, I just join in threads that interest me--if you do, eventually people will recognize your name/picture and be friendly--or at least as friendly as is possible on a forum. It is all in print and nothing in person...so it is harder to feel the warm fuzzies. :) I'm glad you are with us. |
