I have a little school work to do--then I'll cut bindings. The fabrics are all picked out. How are your sweet minis? Hoping we can stop by this summer for some sweet muzzle kisses. Have a great rest of the day. Those beautiful florals won't be waiting much longer  I would LOVE to have you come to the pastures to kiss muzzles! :-D Wait till you see how big the babies are--esp Tucker. He's a moose, like his mama, but not overweight--jsut a tank. Love that boy. Well, I love ALL of them. :D I bet Tucker one very handsome boy! Can't wait to see them all again. AND all the beautiful creations you are finishing up! |
I am sooooo jealous! At last count I had 18 tops done.I just HATE sandwiching a quilt!!!!!! Maybe I need to follow in your footsteps. I am very proud of you!!
|
barnbum, sounds like we are similiar in some ways. I like to make lists and check things off with a red sharpie! I keep myself under control by finishing certain projects before allowing myself to start new ones!!! Good luck and congratulations to keeping to your goals! :)
My biggest list is the projects I want to start "one day" and of course a bargello is on that list!! :) |
Thanks for the replies!!
Last three bindings are made!! cmagee84--I do love checking things off a list!! :-D nursie--I'm so glad you're safe. Thank goodness you changed your plans. Divine intervention?! |
Hurray for you!!!! Keep going, you'll have them done in no time.

You have great willpower though, not so good with that here lol |
I am sending you a BIG PAT ON THE BACK. Congratulations.
|
WoooHooo!! That a way for sticking to your goal! I would wish I could say that I would have done LOTS of sewing if I could have stayed home in snowbound New York instead of being a snowbird in FL, but I probably would have not stuck to my guns like you did. I'm proud of you. Can't wait to get home and sew once again.

I make lists, but I am not good at sticking to them. I am going to try your red sharpie technique. I WANT to finish, but move on to a new project to see what it looks like. Your way is the way to go. |
Feels good to finish something, doesn't it? Great job!
|
I want to know who gets are these quilts you have finished? Good job getting that many quilted and the binding finished

Rose Garden-for sale three Talk-Abouts--what I'm finishing now--for sale. |
Congratulations! You have a right to be excited because your goal is nearly accomplished, and you are so close to starting your new project. I have just been through something similar, so I know what it feels like!
Great going! |
Good for you. Think a lot of people are trying to finish UFO's plus use fabric in their stash.
|
where are the pics?
|
I want to move right next door to you! I could use some inspiration and some 'bad weather' to take some time off and get projects done. I miss the snowy North! Well you still inspire me even from far away!
Blessings, MaryAnna |
WOW - what determination. Yes, I agree, you should be proud of yourself. And those fabrics are beautiful - what a great inspiration to keep on binding. Will anxiously await pix of the project with those fantastic flowers.
|
Everything has a binding! The last three just need to have them sewed down by hand! WooHoo!! It's been a very busy weekend. We got 6 more inches of snow today, there's more coming down, and the winds are blowing, so there's nothing I can do with horses in this weather anyway. Well, except to head to the barn several times a day to clean up and give them kisses and more hay. :-D
Now I feel ready to go back to school tomorrow! I'll add photos of the three Talk-Abouts once they're done. The deep green green bindings look awesome. Two have that, one has red. I'm going to have some ice cream. |
Yea for you! I totally understand you because I LOVE making tops, but I do not enjoy the quilting part as much. Congratulations on getting some of them completed. It feels great when they are finished.
|
Congrats. I wish I could do that good on my tops. I am so slow
with my quilting and don't know how many I have that need to be finished. |
Oh my goodness!!! And love those florals too. You deserve several 'high fives'. Great job.
|
Whew is right! Congratulations on your fortitude! Keep on keeping on - you can do it.
Reading some of the replies - hmmmmm, a bunch of us need to follow your example. I know that I do! |
WOW, inspirational. I think if I didn'tmake myself finish a project before I start another one, I'd be buried!!
|
Whew, I am tired already!. Good job. Go treat yourself to some chocolate!
|
Good for you! I need to make a list and get to work on it.
|
Wow, you have been busy!
And I love the florals you chosefor the next quilt. SO PRETTY! |
You are an inspiration! Keep up the good work and you'll be working on the new tops before long.
|
I'm expecting five squishy packages this week, so I'll need to see if any would bump into the Bargello. There are two I know are definite possibilities. But I have many watercolor floral log cabin blocks to make! I'll whip up some of those.... after these bindings are on. Bet I can finish those by Tuesday evening--they're small. Yay!
|
You have inspired me. on my own check list now ! thanks !
|
Very good plan, yet better that you have done what you set out to do. Yea for you, woe for me, unexpected as it might be, I always start on something else for someone else and I still have about 9 unfinished projects.
Great Job. |
Karla,
You go girl...you will feel so accomplished when you get all of them done. Can't wait to see the project you have in mind for all those beautiful pieces you have picked out. Have fun. Brenda |
You have definitely been a busy bee!
|
The three were pinned last night... got a late start due to hanging out in the barn longer and a late dinner. So close....
|
DONE!!! :-D
|
Oh frabjous day!! Kalooh! Kallay!!!
|
You are inspiring to the rest of us. You make us all look like a bunch of slackers. lol. I plan to get a lot done next weekend when I go to a quilt retreat for 5 days. yeah. :)
|
