I need help ....

I'm making a srappy, (was a)mystery quilt called Orca Bay from Quiltville.com. I used a bright yellow for the neutral color - now I'm stuck. I don't like the purple strings made originally for the quilt. I like the scrappy plain blue squares that I've inserted on the design wall (ignore the white). What does everyone else think? Is there a better color that could be used in place of the plain blue cornors?

I like the lighter blue squares. Maybe use all light blue fabrics rather than some light and some dark....just a thought.

yes, some light and some dark will add interest to the blocks

I like the purple, but you that is my favorite color. :) The blue will calm the colors down if that is what you prefer.

Beautiful quilt as is, don't change anything. It will be a knock-out when done.

I like the idea of light and dark.

It took me a minute to identify what you didn't like because I thought it looked perfect.

I agree with Hobo2000 - I would leave it as it is. I think it is beautiful. I did the Orca Bay and worried about my colors all the way through. I was afraid that I did not like them and as you know, that quilt is way too much work not to like it. If you have a place to lay out all the pieces and step back far enough, you will see that when the entire quilt is finished, there are so many patterns that emerge, I would love to see the picture when you finish it.

I also agree with hobo2000. I love the movement that the purple string blocks create.
