I need a kick in the butt....
My daughter asked for a pinwheel quilt, we bought the fabric, and I started making pinwheels. We need 64 for a king sized quilt. Every time she hits JoAnn fabric she adds another color. I'm seeing pinwheels in my sleep and can't get excited about this quilt anymore.....help.

lol-just get it done so she can no longer add colors.
|
"I need a kick in the butt...." consider it done! now, finish the quilt so that there are no more changes! and keep your daughter's butt out of jo ann's! LOL (also, learn to say "no")

I love your dilema, teach her to sew.

Tell her it's fine to keep buying colors. Also mention that the new colors will just go in your stash! You're too far along to want to cut any more.
|
I just finished a quilt top that was 9 in. pin wheel blocks surrounded by smaller pin wheels. Don't want to make another pin wheel for along time! Good luck with yours.

hahaha have to say I agree with everyone. Put new in stash, teach Her to sew so she can make blocks, learn how to say no and GET ER DONE!

Years ago I started a pinwheel quilt...and I did get very tired of working on it. Just a few weeks ago I pulled it back out and am working on it again...and loving it, so hopefully I will finish it this time.
Just let your daughter know you have enough fabric, no more shopping. And next time, let her make her own quilt! |
Thank her for adding to your stash but that you are to a point where you can't add anymore colors - unless SHE wants to make prairie points for the edge!
