I'd choose fabric with lots of colors, including grass green and cream. That way it won't have to match her colors exactly to blend in with her decorating.
Moda Spring House might be one option - http://greenfairyquilts.com/catalog.php?item=2914 or Welcome to Bear Country - http://greenfairyquilts.com/catalog.php?item=1955 or ABC 123 - http://greenfairyquilts.com/catalog.php?item=2342 |

How about an Irish chain? Use the cream for the background and use different prints in the green for the chain part

When my friends were having children, I assigned them all an animal so that I could use that as inspiration all their lives when it came to birthday's and christmas. That's an idea you can run with, and make an animal that you want and just use the colors as accents. Good luck.

What if you went with a character type theme? Winnie the pooh is generally accepted for either gender. Animals are good too- maybe a jungle print to pull in the greens?

Even a simple nine-patch alternating with plain squares for quilting would be stunning.
