I don't really want to use my free motion foot because I have sooo not mastered that yet and this quilt is for a friend's baby. I want it to look respectable not like sewing practice, haha. So I plan to use my walking foot but I really don't know where to go from there ... any ideas would be much appreciated!

Picture attached ... the only change from the photo is that there is now a four inch border made from the darker brown spotted fabric.

Thanks in advance!

How creative are you? What about quilting some of the animals into the top? And maybe a tree or two.

or instead of straight stitch try a little snaky, like S, either thru the seams, or in-between, or even diagonally.....can be done with walking foot and feed dogs engaged if you don't want to FM
