I have the 12000 and still trying to figure out the setting for a scant 1/4 inch and think the needle threader is sub par for the amount of money I spent for the machine. What setting do you use for the scant? I move the needle over to the right as far as it will go and think this should not be this way. Any help from the 12000 owners is appreciated. No update is going to happen here!!

I have the 7700 and accidentally discovered that I could get a perfect scant 1/4" seam, by using the wrong foot! It was driving me crazy, until I realized what was causing it. I believe it was the Satin Stitch foot, which I'd accidentally left on the machine; the little recessed area kept pulling my fabric over, just enough to miss the 1/4".

I use the 1/4" acufeed foot, move the needle to the right til it's where I want it. No update at my house either. Do you really need 200,000 stitches per minute? I don't.

Just curious: what would be a "fantastic price" for the Janome 12000?? I have never looked at that machine since I have a Janome 6600P and a Janome 350e embroidery machine....however, I am planning on going to the Houston show in 2014 and would keep a look-out for good deals then :)

I would think that even though the "machine" would do 200,000 stiches you'd have a problem getting the thread and the needles to also handle it. Most of the time I can let my Diamond go at full speed but depending on the thread and the density and the fabric or stabilizer I also have to slow it down at times. Since the thread and needle markets aren't going to be changing the way they make those will the all play together well. If not, how often will you really be able to go that fast. It's like having a car that goes 150 MPH but only drive on local highways. You will never (or hardly ever) be able to use it to the fullest capabilities. So why pay the extra money. I have no new machine in site since mine is less than a yr and top of the line until next month when the new Vikings come out. I will love looking and seeing what is all available out there but that's as far as it'll go. I can't even afford to drool at this time.

THEN....i get the email today...the NEW JANOME 15000 with IPAD connectivity!!! Now....i know that machine is waaaaaaay out of reach for my budget! Sigh....

Sandy

I have the AcuEdit in my iPad and it is very cool App. However cannot be used without the Janome 15000 :-)
I also found DRAWings Snap, available for free on the App Store, and can be used with iphone, ipad, for all embroidery machines. Connects wireless with all machines with USB port, by using any wireless gadget like AirStash

The future is on those app for smart phones and tablets. Janome opens new frontiers for all to follow...

Hi Diane....good to see your smiling face on QB! My new 8200 actually has an automatic setting for 1/4 inch which also adjusts the stitch length. No embrodiery though. Have you mentioned your frustrations to Bill?

I have the 6600p and love it. A friend got the 7700 about when I got mine and I wasn't that all impressed with it for the BIG difference in price. the deeper throat was about it. I just bought the HQ Sweetsixteen sit down and have about half the money invested in the two of those for the price of one Janome 7700 or the 15000.

Well, the janome 15000's info has bee officially released, and my 12000 still does all and more than I want. It's funny though, I don't see any prices mentioned, but you can preorder on the Internet. I already have the accufil hoop and love it. So I don't see that I'm missing out on anything, except spending more money that I can spend on fabric.

[QUOTE=romanojg;6256084] My software allows me to tell it or the machine to pull all colors from my inventory that I have on hand no matter what company that makes it.

What machine or software does this?? I have a Janome MC9700 and have only had it a couple of months, however I am salivating over the newer machines.....always wishing for something I don't have and know I can't afford!!
