As I mentioned earlier, my Janome, is a Quilt Decor model. One would think it would come equipped with the extra bobbin case for FMQ. Disappointment #2

This is why I've bought the blue dot bobbin case - the tension is different and is supposed to help with FMQ. I was just wondering how people who are using this case set their upper tension - at the moment mine has to be on 9 to have any chance of doing FMQ, so I was wondering how much I might have to lower it with the blue dot case.

I didn't know the blue dot bobbin case existed until last week, when it was offered for sale here on the board. I purchased it and used it today. I didn't have a bit of trouble with my stitches. My tension was set on 5/6 - I'm glad I got it. I love to FMQ.
