Penni - I really want to see that quilt when you finish - looks gorgeous!

PenniF, I love all of your fishies in your tropical reef quilt!
I did not do any quilting yesterday...am I bad? :( I got caught up in other things. It was raining all day, so we had limited electricity. (We're 100% off the grid.) I plan to go back and tackle that scallop binding. It's slow going. BTW, are we including Monday as part of the weekend? It is President's day. ~ Cindy |
Great projects and photos... keep them coming! I too hope we can continue this through tomorrow... Long weekend, and all. :)
After all the inspiration here and perusing Pinterest for an hour, I'm ready to sew! |
Yes, I'm including Monday!

I will join you this afternoon. I am working on Storm at Sea for my DGS for graduation in May. Having to work by hand because of my back. I am using Inklingo so the stitching line is printed on the fabric making it possible for me to go back and forth between hand and machine piecing. I have 26 of 72 blocks done. Chris chose the pattern and colors. Here is some of my progress:

The quilt binding isn't going very fast but every minute I sit down I work at it. I am also (shhh) slipping in some embroidery time on the name tags I'm doing for a quilt retreat at the end of the month. Loaded a quilt on longarm this am but probably won't start it til tomorrow. Meeting with quilting client at 1:30. Then it's back to binding.

beautiful! A true labor of love to piece by hand.

Lots going on. I didn't sew yesterday but I sewed this morning for about an hour. I have been zig zagging applique on some small wallhangings. I have been working on March, April, May and June. I am going to hang all 4 and then trade out one month at a time.

I am back, had my second cut of coffee ...off to my sewing room will post later any progress I make 😃

I'm in, this will be my 1st VQA, I've been working so hard on this quilt for my DH who is out of town so it would be great if I can have it finished when he gets home. It's been on the back burner for months now. Going to to to post a picture. It's called Quiet Corner & is 63"x60", don't ask me how I came up with those dimensions :p
