I've purchased a few charm packs and jelly rolls. NO MORE! I like actually seeing and more important feeling fabrics before I bring them home! I also like have the leftovers for other projects! You're one smart lady in my opinion! :)

Same here.....I haven't tried any of these for the very reasons that your have mentioned.

I've bought charm packs, but not jelly rolls or the others. So far I have only flipped through them and marveled at how pretty they are. Not very effective, but great for fabric petting.

I like them. It saves time and my back.

No, I also like to cut my own fabric!

if you knew how much you are actually spending for that little bit of fabric... figure the cost of a yard and you will be surprised how much it adds up too..... but I guess they have their purpose but I would rather buy and cut my own...

Guess i am the odd ball here. I love using Jelly Rolls and Bali Pops. Have made some gorgeous quilts from them.

I'm a scrappy quilter and got started with 6 1/2" charms on eBay. I guess I must have been lucky because I made 9 quilts (double and queen sized) and every one came out right on the money. Am now branching out (after I finish binding my current scrappy which is a generous queen) and ready to start a OBW. I really don't care for cutting but sure like everything else about making a quilt!

Cutting is the hardest for me at this point due to an injury in 2002 that left my left hand in permanently bad shape.
