The quilt is named Navajo Seasons by Jinny Beyer.
I just got it back from the LAQ "The Quilting Paige" in Eagan MN.
Enjoy your project.

I have been told that with a label your quilt will be worth more money for future generations if it isn't loved to death!

Love the picture on the label, add that you are uncle and auntie, not sure the pattern name and maker are necessary ( it's not going to a show. is it?) I personally hand embroider my labels, of course you can't do that with a picture. Beautiful quilt. IF you are interested, in my albums, each quilt has a label.

Boston1954, I love your label. Imagine the delight of someone finding that quilt in the future, and feeling connected to the quilter!

I would use a beige for the label, and would list the piecer and the quilter.

Yes, Joe'sMom. That is precisely why I do that. I've heard people say they found a quilt in a garage sale, and there was no label. It pains me to think that no one will know who made it or when.

I like seeing the pattern and designer on the label of a quilt. We have a lady right now who is trying to figure out where and what the pattern was for a quilt she made many years ago. So far, no one can help her. If she had put a label on it that included the pattern name, she would be a happy camper right now.

I love how you incorporated a picture of the couple on your quilt label. When I did my nephew's graduation quilt I included a picture of him and me on his prom night as part of the label. On my "normal" quilts (meaning I don't know where they are going) I use a personalized label with a Scottie since I am a Scottie lover. I print them on my computer as the ones that I have tried to hand letter in the past didn't come out very nice. Lucky couple to get such a beautiful quilt.
