What do you guys and gals do with leftovers from tops created? I have found that I have a real collection going of four patches, random triangles, long strips sewn together, etc - they're not really scraps, but I guess in a way they are...any ideas?

I like to make quilted bags, and find that pieced scraps can often be worked into a crazy quilt patch or somesuch to decorate the front of the bag. I use the bags for shopping or carrying books, or going to craft circles. I also sometimes can use those kinds of leftovers to make christmas tree ornaments, or some other small project.

Good question! Sometimes I work them into the backs of my quilts to spice it up a little. I am interested in knowing what others do with these pieces too!!!

Quiltville has a quilt called Crumbs, Crumbs, Crumbs. You should check it out. Here is the website for it.

At the moment, most of them are in rubbermaid tubs waiting to be used for.......

I would add more fabric strips pieces to them until they all reach approximately the same size, square them up and sew them together into a scrappy quilt. It would be cute to quilt them using different decorative stitches using different colored thread.

I use them in scrap quilts.....or pillows..I just try to work them into different things..I can't waste a thing!

make a child a quilt, child sized. Make lap quilts, make a table runner, drink coasters.

crumb quilts - such a good idea!
