sounds like the machine may not be running fast enough and or the fabric may not be tight on the frame

I even ran it with no thread and then also no fabric, will let you know what chuck says tomarrow

Okay friends I spoke with chuck, he was very nice. He said the problem was that I needed to sew on a flat table for awhile before placing her on the frame, he said we quilters are so anxious to start quilting, ha ha ha, I said of course we are! We wait a couple weeks for machine and want to play with our new toy. So it has not jammed once sewing off frame, tomarrow or thursday I can sew on frame. I'm soooooo happy that I didn't have to ship her back, she will love her new home.

I have an LG II with a 15" Bailey -- you're going to be very happy with your setup :)

Make sure when you're practicing on the frame that you're using a full sandwich (fabric AND batting). I tried to practice with fabric alone, trying to keep from using up batting, and I ran into the same problems that you are.

If you haven't signed up on the Bailey group on yahoo groups, I HIGHLY recommend it. Lots of Bailey users in there that can guide you through the early learning stages.

What's the secret to signing up on the yahoo group? I couldn't get them to accept me for some reason.

... Sorry - I hit this twice and don't know how to delete the duplication

I love it! Oh, but it was not instant love like I thought, I couple small gliches. You Have To sew off the frame for at least an hour is what I found, then can quilt on the frame. So I have named her Betsy Bailey. She and I are having wonderful quilt time together ( I wish we had met sooner) I have already quilted 7 quilts plus a couple of placemats and a large table runner. One of the quilts was a very thick and heavy jersey shirt quilt. I was concerned with how heavy it was on the frame and how thick with the weight on my Betsy but no problem at all they were both troopers! I just couldn't be happier. Oh also she really likes 100% cotton thread which I have found at connecting threads for a great price. Even cheaper than going to joanns with a coupon. Well I guess I wasn't too busy to chat. Lol
