Doesn't it have a crank on the right? It looks like it in the photo. I have one from my childhood (50's-60's), not just like this one. It is in the original box. If you don't have a bobbin, it probably does a chain stitch,

I found one almost identical on e-bay. The starting bid was 44.00. It was made in Japan in the 50's. It is a child's toy. It runs on batteries. That is all I know so far. I have to get some batteries. But it uses a size 11 needle and even had a spool of thread on th wooden spool with it. I think it makes a chain stitch. But, not sure.

. Yes, it has a crank on the side. No bobbin. But a tension on the top. I still haven't gone and gotten batteries to try it out. But, its on my shopping list. |
