Never heard of this term. Learn something new every day on here. I like the low volume quilts...a modern feel...and I happen to be in the planning stages for one right now and didn't know.

From the Link: Never in a million years would I have thought of making a quilt with all my low volume (a.k.a. "white") scraps. "... my low volume (a.k.a. "white") scraps." Thanks for posting about this ... like the others, I'd never heard about this and I do like the look! When you think of it, it's much the same as "shabby chique". |
Thanks for asking the question and expanding my horizons. I had to peek at Red Pepper quilt because I wouldn't think of them as ever doing anything LOW volume. Have to say I think I like this and might try one of my own.

Fun! I just learned a new term. Low volume floral reminds me of the shabby chic look. The low volume "Eye Spy" of course has the look of pastels and would make a great baby quilt!

Elizabeth Hartman has a Craftsy class with modern quilts. One of the projects is a low volume and this is the quilt I made for the class. So, most of the fabrics are low contrast but the shot of color livens things up.

Thank you for asking this question. I didn't know what a low volume quilt was before-great info.

Wouldn't that be low value?
Here's another one. I do like them quite a bit, they feel softer and more feminine to me. I just don't have enough of the right kinds of scraps to make one! http://crazymomquilts.blogspot.com/2...fresh-air.html |
Well, you learn a new thing every day! Low Volume? Who'd have thought it! And aren't they stunning.
