LQS Closing
I just found out a beautiful quilt shop in my town is closing soon, maybe a few months. It's so hard to believe. They will be greatly missed.

A shame they couldn't sell it to someone to keep the store.

Three lqs within about 30 miles of our home have closed in the last year.
|
It’s so sad to see them closing...one of my favorite LQS that I visit when I am in California is also closing on December 23rd. They were trying and hoping to find a buyer but to no avail.

Same in SE MN. 2 closing within 30 miles. :(

One successful LQS here is closing down the first of the year. The owner wants to retire. She has an offer on the building but not the quilt business.
|
Many brick and mortar store are closing as they have a hard time competing with internet sales.

It is always sad when a LQS closes. A big loss for any community. We have a very small LQS that opened a few years ago and building business nice and slowly. She does not carry a lot of fabrics yet but I can see that coming in the future. If I want to go to a LQS for fabrics I have to go about 30 miles.

This is a sad situation with all of the small LQS closing. I just believe that a lot of people are ordering on line and just not for fabrics. I feel everyone finds it more easily to stay home and order via the computer or other tech devices.
