I use a plain old pencil. Works fine.

I love my Bohn mechanical pencil. I also discovered that they have a green "lead" color that shows up on both light and dark!! Works great!

Lots of good suggestions here. I use the chalko thing with the wheel, but my ladies rub it off and it has to be remarked. I mark the quilts before they are sandwiched when we quilt at church. Have done the freezer paper shapes also. :lol:
