Very nice work & love the lay out. J J

I think you're doing great. Your purple looks good. I would consider using an ivory with swirls (similar to the background of the birds) in the corners. I think it would chain all the blocks together. JMHO

I agree with the suggestions Buckeyerose and Angelarose have made, but what counts is what appeals to you. Having 2 greens around some but not all of the birds is noticable to me, but that again is my taste. I really do think a coordinating sashing around the birds in a darker color would make them pop. If you have a piece of dark fabric [black, brown, green whatever you first think of when you're looking at it and think "dark"] lay out the dark fabric and arrange your blocks again allowing the dark to show around the birds the width of what you would want the sashing to be. [no sense cutting up strips you may not use and you want to audition different widths to see what, if any, pleases your eye.]

Welcome to our little corner of the Quilting World. I love your panel. As stated earlier the green next to each other is the only thing i would change. Your colors are spot on and look great. You will be a pro before you know it. :)

I think what you have done is great. The only thing I would change is the two birds on the top row. I would switch the left to the right and right to left so the birds on the four corners are facing toward the middle.

welcome from ohio! I wouldn't change a thing. love it

I love it as is. When I doubt my layout, I leave it for awhile and then re-enter the room to see if I like it immediately upon entering. Simplistic but it works.
