Thanks, everyone, for the good wishes; I feel very fortunate to have such a supportive DH. I hope everyone here gets a few quilting goodies this holiday season :-)

CONGRATS on your new toy and be sure to give DH and extra Hug for all the help he gives you. Merry Christmas.
If you haven't already done so, use the ruler method to fold your fabric. I finally decided to try that and it is truly amazing how well you can stack your stash using this method. I also put the fabric I couldn't store in my cabinet, in plastic milk crates and stood them on their ends so I could see the fabric better. Just a suggestion for your stash.

What do you mean, $1700 for the Q-Bot...our set -up here costs $10,000.00 (but then, I'm moaning about the money again, aren't I!?).

I was able to get the complete set-up for a little over half of what I had seen elsewhere. Sure, I would have loved one of the new software packages, but $1700 for the Q-Bot versus $6000 for the Quilt Artist made it an easy decision :-) Plus, I still get the full warranty

sorry to have to ask what may be obvious, are viking dealers @ joanns selling off qbot mega quilters because they are old models? will you have to buy anything else to get started? will wonderful hubby set it up or does the dealer do that for you? i've been SO wanting to have one of my own! but, it needs to be under $2000.00. cant wait to see your postings when you're up and running!
