Ya know, that hodge podge arrangement looks like a garden with flowers overlapping.I like that non geometric grouping a lot. Almost like scattering bulbs in a natural setting in the yard. It's a fresh idea on an old standard. It's crying landscape quilted wall hanging to me. More flowers, just add them on, make a companion panel. How does your mother want you to use them?

I don't know what that pattern is but, it is absolutely beautiful. You are so lucky to still have your mother and she seems to be doing well. God Bless you both.

You are very lucky to have a mother who is able to do this. The flowers are fantastic. Does she sew the on a machine or does she do it the old fashion way with paper piecing? Feel honored that your mother cares enough and is willing to make the flowers for you. Jeanniebelle

WOW! Lucky you, and what a sweet, talented mom! I wouldn't have time nor patience to do all those hexes!

From a fellow 80-year-old, doing projects like this is great. I love her color choices. Not just the same-old. The reason she's 80 years old and still going strong is because she does things like this and doesn't just sit back and vegetate. The more you do, the more you CAN do.
