My aunt had 8 kids very close in ages. She would tell people when they asked her if they were all hers, "No I checked half of them out of the library and they are due back Friday!"

I am one of 10, no twins, same father
I have a 1947 FW, works great, love it |
I have one, and I love it. Despite it haveing just the one normal stitch, I adore it cause I dont feel rushed to sew, it is so quiet, easy to carry. and still working 19-- something is mine. my decals are about worn off the table part but it works like it was brand new.

Congrats on your special FW. I envy you with 10 kids! I was only fortunate enough to have 1. I was an only child and dreamed of a few kids, but not to be.
I have a FW that I sew with quite frequently and just love her. I also own a wonderful 15-90 1904 Spinks treadle that I FMQ on and a recent addition of a clone singer ``Fabric`` made in Japan that sews really well. These oldies are great. |

You have been blessed with 10 wonderful gifts. The 1 for X-mas, although special. does not compare to the 10. :D

Hey there,
Have you gone onto the Singer website and put in her numbers so you can find her bithdate? It's fun to see when it was made. It's sounds like you have raised ALL of your children to be loving, giving adults. Congrats on that and on your wonderful gift. |
My mom had 12 kids, no twins, same father. She was also asked those questions. We were often also asked if we were Catholic which we are not. Some people apparently don't see children as the blessing they are meant to be. You are blessed. What a wonderful, thoughtful group of children you have. Enjoy your machine.

Check the serial number, usually located on the bottom of the machine. Singer has a serial number dating website. They go all the way back to the late 1800's. It will tell you where, and when (within a decade) your machine was made. Hope you enjoy your 11 th baby. lol auntie B, in finally turning into spring, Saskatchewan, that's Canada eh ????
