cindygale, I went to two Joanns yesterday in my area of Oregon and looked. So sorry though they didn't have anything close and I asked the ladies there also. No go . . . I hope you find it. I know how upsetting this can be.

What about butterflies ? I have seen some really neat looking ones at Joanns with a black background . Or maybe a neon colored one ? What does she like ? Any favorite colors ?

She's doing this because she knows the trouble it is causing. Even bad attention is better than none. If everyone can let it go, she won't get any. Move on. Talk with your granddaughter to let her know you will make her another. Let her help pick out the fabrics to make it truly hers. Even let her help choose a pattern, or with cutting and sewing. This will make a nice memory for you both. Put a label on the back clearly marked as hers. Enjoy the sewing and creating.

It is so sad that some of the really nice people end up with the *&^%%$ people. I hope everything works out.

Cindy, I think you are special to have made quilts for the step-granddaughter in addition to the one for GD. But, I have a question. You are going to make another one for GD? What keeps the step-mom from taking this one also? That would be a concern for me.

I know that this is not it but looks like it might be similar.

Have you tried posting on missingfabrics.com? They are great source for finding fabrics.

Put a label on the back clearly marked as hers; attach this label before it is quilted so it cannot be removed. One sewn on after is so easy to remove.
