Wonderful fabric.

I was just thinking the same thing.

Here is a quilt from Debbie in Alaska that I really like. It is a free pattern from her. It's basically a D4P and I was thinking that if you made the print blocks big enough, it would make an interesting quilt and maybe show off the fabrics also.

Hope Debbie doesn't mind me showing this link here. You might even enjoy her blog as she makes a lot of great quilts!

Oh, I love that fabric. I would have walked out of the show with the same fabric also. That is one of those fabrics i would have to pet and star at a while to decide what to so with it. Sometimes I let fabrics like that hang on my sign wall for a while hoping for some inspiration. That would make a nice convergence quilt.

Have to say that I prefer using fantastic fabrics like this one for the back... I know you want to showcase it but I believe the back should always be as beautiful as the front...

I agree. You will lose some of its beauty when you cut it up. Take it with you to the LQS and pick some fabrics that match these colorings. If you have tons of this, beyond what you need for the back, how about a sampler of baskets with appliqued flowers. you could have a blue basket, a green basket a pink basket a purple basket etc.

Check out The Wave pattern at Butterfly Stitches. The pattern can be just a 2 color quilt & I think it might work really well

It's gorgeous! I couldn't cut it!

Its beautiful but no ideas sorry :)

I would make a project that would minimize cutting it up. Could be a tablecloth, tote bag or pillow case.

Can see why you couldn't walk past this fabric....gorgeous!

Try a google search on ombre quilt patterns... Wowser! browsing the quilts. A lot of eye candy and patterns that may work for this fabric.

I also bought that very same fabric & I used it to make a sewing purse I quilted it then made it with some vinyl pockets then two cloth pockets with zippers. I'll be taking it to my Tuesday quilt group with my supplies in it. The other ladies really liked it.
