Has anyone seen and/or used the new "stubby" presser foot? It was demonstrated at the quilt show and is also in Nancy Zimmers new catalog. No need to pin curves when piecing! She made it look super easy, but its $30.00. So I'd like to know if anyone has tried it. The shortness of the foot itself is suppose to make going around curves a snap, but maybe she practiced for 10 years (LOL) before she started demonstrating it.

i didn't see that one but i saw her use a curve master foot to do a double wedding ring and you dont pin those curves, however it cost be 47 bucks! didn't buy it from her, just googled curve master. haven't tried it yet eitherbut i sure hope that sucker works well lol
it's plastic and has about 6-7 different shanks so it will fit on almost any machine. |
It sounds like the same thing I saw in Hampton Va. She made a big deal over throwing in these special tweezers to grip the pieces with, but its all inclusive in the Nancy Notions catalog for 29.95 I think it was.

I think I'll stick to pins.
