Boy, that's quite a price range, isn't it?

Jenny Beyer had the seam ripper with magnifier and light on sale the end of last year and I purchased one. The seam ripper part swivels so you can use it at different angles to get the best magnification. I really like mine.

I have one, but at the time I bought it I did not like it. The light was not enough and it sort of got in my way. I do like a ripper with a big handle now.

I have scissors that I got from my DR. when they took out some stitches. It is the best seam ripper I have ever own. I would not trade it for anything. If you ever can get your hands on one, take it. The Dr.s get rid of them after using them on a patient. You might as well benefit from it, especially when it was used on you.

What is a surgical seam ripper? Is it sharper than others? What is a really good quality ripper? I just sewed a whole length of my quilt on backward and am going to have to rip it out. LOL this thread is quite interesting to me as you can see.
