ps..oops..just looked at the picture again an realized they are ALL curved pieces! lolol |
What an interesting design!
I think I would draw my own clamshell templates, piece them, then turn the edges under with an iron and starch and applique them to a wholecloth top, with similar embroidery motifs. Then I'd do some really spectacular quilting on all that white space. What a canvas for quilting designs! Woohoo! :D Laying out the design on the quilt top would be the most challenging part for me - trying to get everything centered and perfectly spaced. A t-square and a yardstick compass could come in handy on a job like this. |
Beautiful design. I think someone could figure out how to peice it .. Not me. Lol

i found it at a quilt outlet store in cherokee, nc and they let me take a pic. it was the last one they had and said they were no longer making this pattern. i will be contacting the company to ask for the pattern. all they can say is "no" :) thanks everyone for responding. maria

Looks like the large "clamshell" pattern made into this pattern.

The quilt itself is a mass produced commercial quilt sold all over the country through specialty retail outlets like the one linked below. I doubt that it is US made although it is US distributed. The company is Ko & Co., Inc. dba Elegant Decor of Norcross, GA.

What an amazing quilt. Makes me wish I had that pattern to reconsider the one I just picked for my bed. I will be watching as I hope someone knows it before I dive into the one I am planning.

Very pretty quilt indeed. It seems like it would be possible to draw out your own version of this pattern (with a bit of determination, some graph paper and a lot of freezer paper!)

Does anyone know were you can buy the pattern at?
