I just counted and I have 7. I have one of the folding seam rippers and I love it. I never have to worry about losing the top.

OMG - that looks like an operating room with all of the surgical instruments layed out! LOL

I'm with you, I have alot of them too.. Its bothersome when they get misplaced so If i have a cupful I don't have to waste time searching for them when I'm sewing- and yes i do do Rip, Rip, Rip... but thankfully not every time!!!

Hmmm, maybe we just like notions..... Yup, that's my story and I'm stickin to it!!!

I have one or two at each machine and easy chair where I do hand work.

Isn't the cap on the handle?

I don't know how many I have, but they are all over the place - I think I even have one here at the puter desk. Ya never know when you will need one. LOL

I think they are a "just in case" tool to have! I vote optimistic!

beware: the quilt police will be coming soon to confiscate any and all rippers pocketed during sit 'n sews.

I had the same seam ripper for about 20 years. I was, needless to say, always hunting for it. One day, in 1999, while out and about with my son, he said, "let's go in here," and he proceded to walk me into a quilt shop (!!!) He led me to the ripper section. "it's time to buy a new one, mom."

So I did. And threw the old one away, even. It's the one I currently use. I do have a 2nd one that came with my bernina in 2000. It's my absolute favorite. so tiny.

they dare not try. in fact, i'll go so far as to say they had better not even think about it.

if i had to give up my ripper, i'd have to give up quilting.

fat chance of that.

watch for flashing batik lights in your rearview. at the first sighting, call us. we'll be there in a jiffy, rotary blades loaded and ready to come to your defense. ;-)
