I think your pineapple pillow is absolutely gorgeous. Corners can be a bit of a problem and several others have shared their solutions. I make lots of pillows for a boutique project I participate in. When I stitch the corners I sew the corners with two to five bias stitches depending of the thickness of the fabric being used. This allows them to turn right side out smoothly. Pillow forms that you purchase typically have corners that aren't full. I make a small slit in the back of the form and stuff the corners with fiberfill and then slip stitch the slit I make. This makes a smoother corner than just stuffing fiber in the corners after you insert the pillow. I also like to use contracting cording on many of the pillows I make and this method keeps the cording even in appearance.

OMG! That is a beautiful pillow. I just bought that CG pineapple ruler and haven't even taken the plastic off yet but you sure have inspired me to do so. Making that block looks so easy with this ruler. I happen to see it on MSQC with Jenny Doan's tutorial. Sorry, don't have any answer for helping you with the corners but I am sure some wonderful person on this QB will have a great idea for you.

When I use a pillow form I sew my cover/case I don't add seam allowances, I just cut the fabric the size of the pillow. Makes for a nice tight fit.

Love the pillow -- I make my pillow cases just a bit smaller and then the corners seem to fit correctly.

PaperPrincess! Thank you so much for this tutorial! I have bookmarked it for later use. I was just noticing how shabby the pillows that came with the couch are. Time to make some new ones. (I never liked that fabric much anyway...time to shop for something diff..)

When I make pillows, I tack the outer casepillow form into the corners after I turn them. The foam may shift but the corner of the form stays in the corner of the pillow.

I cut my pillow top the same size as the form, no added seam allowances. I was shown that "curved" method years ago and have always winged it, nice to know someone thought up a template! I don't need it, but proves the theory out, the "dog ears" go away with that curved method. I find it especially useful when cording the edges. I always make the envelope back, easy to take the cover off to wash or change out. Also makes it easy to adjust the seams if need be without taking the whole thing apart. My pillows always please me! That's what counts, right?
