Is this project on? I'd like to join in. Mine will be controlled scrappy.

I'd join. I got a lot of 10" squares from connecting threads sale and would cut them to 5" to make blocks.
Anyone want to volunteer to host this? I think we lost our leader! I sent a PM to brushandthimble to see what's happening. |
Ha! Perfect! I recently started a queen sized quilt using this method for pinwheels. I have a stack of 20 or so squares sewn around the edges, but I've not cut them and made any pinwheels yet. But I certainly can!
I'm using Whimsy by Fig Tree and Bella Solid Natural charm packs. |
I will do this. Isn't that a great way to make pinwheels!! So easy!

I am stealing this idea from the 9 Patch Project, hope no one minds. Just recently someone showed how to make pinwheels buy sewing around the four edges of a square and cutting diagonially twice = 4 triangle squares=ONE pinwheel block. How about 3 months? Feb 1st - April 30th = 79 pinwheel blocks. A GREAT use for all those charm packs to choose from. |
I heard back from brush&thimble and she is unable to do this project. She was not working when she first posted about this and now she is working 2 jobs and no longer has time to visit the quilting board much.
I will be glad to take it on as long as I can count on all of you to help me be a cheer leader! I'll post a new topic and tell you how it will work! |
Yeah - I posted on the other topic you started.

How many pinwheels has everyone made since February?

 I am putting WOW blocks between the pinwheels and had to take apart one row last night because I put one in backwards! Doesn't take much to discourage me but now I am back on tract to get them together! We had over 100 people sign up but I'm sure we didn't get 100 finished quilts yet. :-D You can start on the last page number and go back and see all the tops that were posted. http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-96494-1.htm |
Thanks! I didn't know there was another page.
