I have a Sew-Ezi table and have taken it several times to retreats. It's very sturdy, easy to transport and set-up. I wanted a table where my machine would sit low and then a custom insert would allow me to have a flat surface to sew on. It's a great alternative to large sewing cabinets. I have limited space, so the Sew-Ezi is perfect for me.

I went to an annual quilting retreat a couple of weeks ago.
Three or four people there had the Sew-Ezi tables and I can tell you that I now have added that to my long "must-have-someday" list. They all loved their tables.

My sister has one, but I don't know which it is. She has a very small space to work in, and she seems to be very happy with it. But she isn't a quilter.

My girlfriend loves hers. I use the 6' tables from home depot and lowes and like them bunches.

I saw the 'Gidget' for under $100 online http://www.google.com/products/catal...344&os=sellers
The SewEZ is over twice as much, although it is nice!
Are any made in the USA or any friendly country like Australia? That's important to me - but often not possible. If you have a featherweight, someone in IL is making a replica of the original folding card table. http://www.ismacs.net/singer_sewing_...nd_tables.html
I saw it advertised in Quiltmaker Magazine. I have an original and love it for my Featherweight...

I have a Sew Ezi and love it. It serves as my everyday sewing table and also goes with me when I travel. I have Featherweight and Bernina acrylic inserts. The only problem is in adjusting for machine height when I change from one to the other. I find the height adjusters time consuming and a hassle. Sooo, I have the height set for the Bernina and put a D/FW phone book under the Featherweight when I use it--problem solved! I purchased a floor model at the end of a quilt show; the dealer did not want to haul it back to CA after. I believe I paid $195 then ordered the other insert for around $35. I't has been well worth the money.

What I've found that I like even better are the school desk type tables that are about 4 ft x 18". The legs are adjustable and they are quite sturdy, even if a bit worn from being in a school classroom for however long. I found mine at a yard sale from someone who got them in bulk at auction when the school replaced them with new ones. He was selling them 4 for $30. I convinced him to let me have 2 for $15. Then went back a few weeks later and got 2 more for use elsewhere.

I worked at a nursing home and they were redoing the pt's rooms and the over the bed trays they told us girls whoever wanted them to take them. I keep one of my machines on it and can adjust the hgt to what I need. Its works out well and they were free. Sue

I've been looking for somthing new for my sewing machine table and am still on the fence - nice cabinet from Wallmart, or the SewEz. hard to decide...

So anymore reviews on these tables? Looking for a table I can put near my chair in living room. I have Kenmore sewing machine. Was hoping for one on wheels, but can't seem to find any.

I have the Sew EZ - I just got it because I wanted a sturdy table for my embroidery machine. So I got the insert to make it a flat table as well as the open insert for the sewing machine, it works wonderful. I did compare it to the Gidget because of the price difference. The legs of the Sew-EZ appeared appeared to be more stable and the insert for my machine was part of the price, the additional piece to close the area was an additional cost. They both have wheels, and the Sew-EZ doe come with a cover, but that was the least of my concern.

Also, is Sew-ez height adjustable?

I bought the sew-ez table and it's wonderful. You can fold it up with its own cover and roll it around. It has a hard plastic template that fits your machine and everything just glides over it. I have had mine for almost 2 years and I use it every time I sew in my sewing room. It's not a portable for me unless I move it into my living room to use for actual quilting.

I use one that was sold at BigLots for less than $30... it is about 18x24 and very adjustable height wise. I love the idea of the SewEZ... but the cost it prohibitive

I got the Gidget last year from Joannes for $60 in sale. I love the height and the fact that there is a flat surface like a regular sewing cabinet. I did have to cut the opening about an inch longer to accommodate my Janome 6500 and getting the knee lift to fit in properly is a little tricky but it works. It doesn't need an insert so what you see is what you get. I have a small sewing room and it works perfectly.

I have a gidget 1 and it's my only sewing table. It's not portable. I keep it in my sewing room and I absolutely love it. The cutout is the perfect size for my sewing machine and there have been a few times I've been entertaining and need an extra table. I pop up the cutout and it's a table! I love love love it.
