My computerized Vikings cost $112.50 for servicing.

I paid 50.00 to have mine cleaned and check over. I noticed that one of the LQS is offering a class on how to service a featherweight. Wish I had one I sure would have taken the class.

My service cleaning and checkup was free for 5 years and am now paying $60 which I consider OK, Bernina machines are expensive and need to be running GREAT.

I have a Viking Deginer SE and paid over $5000.00 for it. I do not use it to it'e fullest potential but I in no way want to mess it up so I will continue to pay the man to clean mine. I do not feel bad at all paying him to clean it. I go to the dr when I need to so my baby can get a cleaning once a year.

Has anyone ordered this e book and if so were you satisfied? I can't afford to order if not what it claims to be.
Thanks

So it was a bit of sticker shock when I asked the local vacuum/sewing store what they'd charge to clean my "new" old machine: $85. Is this the standard going rate now? (and, yes, I know $20 was A Deal, even back then)

I don't think it's out of line.
