Do you spray before you cut the fabric or before you piece it togather?

Great, Thanks!

I like to starch before I cut it out. It makes it a little easier to cut accurately.

Corn starch is what we call cornflour. Hope that helps. Can remember my grandmother & mother using it.

I use Pearsons but must try the alcohol to stop it going off. Have had it happen a few times.
I also use it for machine embroidery

I am in Aust. too and never heard of Sta flo, Febreze I know of is to spray on furniture, rugs etc. to freshen them up, is that the stuff?. Actually I have never used starch in quilt making (or on clothes, remember mum using it though),

Here's a link to a wonderful video tutorial on ironing and starching from Leah Day:

I've looked and asked around but I could only find the StaFlo in an aerosol can. I would like to find it in the powder form so I can make different concentrations but when I ask at the stores they look at me like I've asked for the unobtainable and just point at the aerosols. I tried Niagara spray pump and really do like it

Sta Flo is a concentrate, not a powder, it comes in a blue bottle in the states. I don't know if that will help or not. This is a web page telling about it.
