A bowling shirt out of the green with a little white and his name embroid.. over the pocket, like the 1950's kind would be cute on the back......not saying I could do it, but its an idea..........

Well, I know that you have another cool fabric to put in that quilt!
Should turn out well. :) |
I think a thin border to frame the quilt would work out just fine. I often use 1/2 inch to 1 inch border to frame out a quilt. My favorite size is the 1/2 inch.

What if you did a braided border with the lime green in the middle of the braid?
The lime green could be the explosion of a strike or a perfect 300 game! I'm envisioning the POW or ZAM from the old batman shows......oops there goes my age  |
i have to agree with the others. that bowling fabric is awesome. i can;t wait to see what you make

Should turn out well. :) And that is thanks to you bearisgray. Now I have a wonderful splash of red fabric with black, blue, and GREEN bowling balls. Thanks to you my quilt has added color and gives my an easier way to work in my green. Thanks bearisgray. |

Be sure to post a picture of the finished (and work in progress ;-)) of the quilt. It will be a great quilt!!! |
Make the back with the green with black borders. then he has 2 quilts and you keep your original idea intact. Good luck.
