Heartbreaking... So sorry!

duckydo 12-04-2011 05:53 AM

Oh how terrible, I will pass the word on. Hope it turns up

What a heart-ache. I've posted it on Facebook and MyQuilt Place (AQS board) lets hope that with enough coverage it can be found.

How awful for this to happen. Keep us posted. Hoping for the best.

i put this on facebook, as well, and my friends have begun reposting. (none of them are even quilters--just outraged at the theft!)

What a horrible, horrible person to steal this quilt. I am praying it will be returned to its rightful owner. I too would be just devastated to lose such a masterpiece.:(

I just don't understand why someone would do that!! I sure hope it's just been misplaced and is found quickly.

MadQuilter 12-04-2011 11:51 AM

I was taught that if something isn't mine to take then I don't take it. Simple as that! I get so angry when I hear of people stealing (assuming the quilt was "taken"). I hope it will be recovered, but I don't really hold much hope. If someone took it to sell it or give it as a gift, they would have to take the label off. It's a crazy world we live in.

A microchip won't locate the quilt and the quilt would have to be taken somewhere to be scanned. What is needed is a tiny GPS chip with app for your phone that would alert you when the quilt is on the move. Won't be long when technology will put an end to most scummy thieves.
