My husband watched be create his quilt... from the very first piece of fabric... and now has an appreciation for what goes into making a quilt. He is tremendously supportive and even has some very useful input.

Yeah, right! When mine starts that I'll suggest he find a use for all the power tools he has acquired. The way I figure it, when he is no longer of this earth my sons will have brand new tools to use or sell....probably sell!

Can't do that...he's the cook of the house. He enjoys it and is good, so I quilt while he cooks.

OK, fine, quilt police have to make their own quilts!

you know, it is funny that we all worry about having ufo's and wip's hanging around. all artists have these. i don't paint or make jewelry but know people who do and they don't really seem as concerned about their unfinished works like quilter's do. wonder why this is.

i, for one, choose to think of these items as part of the artistic process; and, i think you should too. any of our loved ones who feel they have to "help" us make decisions about the process should really get back to their ball game or coin collecting, etc. we will continue to love them but they need to butt out.
