Not exactly a saying, but a very old fashioned thought my grandmother used to tell me. She would say.... "you should NEVER sew on the Sabbath or you will have to pick out all of the stitches with your nose when you go to heaven." I spent a lot of time as a child trying to figure out how that could be accomplished. Perhaps that's why I like hand stitching to this day...lol...

Somehow I believe you on that one, because the girl that cuts my fabric told me that since we both were married that a "friends with benefits" thing would be perfect for us. That one ranks up there with the time when my wife and I were dating, the waitress sat down beside me and took our order and when she dropped off the check there was a napkin with her phone number on it. My sewing machine is smarter than your honor student. Always trust a quilter. She knows her way around the block. I only quilt on days that end in ‘Y’ . How can you say I’m fabric obsessed when I still have space in my closet? Addicted to fabric and proud of it. Take life one square at a time. I didn’t lose my marbles. I traded them for fat quarters. Those aren’t thread bits. They’re debris from a creative explosion! So, if I build a new closet.... |
