Very pretty. That is a good question but I don't think there is wrong way. I would have done it just like you did.

What a great quilt someone will love to cuddle with it and hopefully realize the love put into it.

Dina,
that is a very pretty cheerful quilt...I think the right way is the way you want it to be! Cute cat, too :) |
Very pretty, it's done perfectly!

it looks great, you can do anything you like, I like to try different things with that pattern

Thanks again, everyone. I haven't started on the purple one yet, other than having the strips cut out. I did use colored pencils and graph yesterday to try to figure out the order I want. I am still undecided though. Once I finish sandwiching the quilt I am on, I will dive into the purple one. My sister has offered to put my colors in her computer ...phooey, I can't recall what the program is called, Q something or other. I will probably take her up on that before I proceed.
What is really neat is that I have "visions of quilts dancing in my head." This is new for me, having more than one quilt idea going at a time. I like it. Maybe I am maturing as a quilter? (I have only been quilting 3 years, not like my expert sis who has been at it 13 years and teaches classes.) It used to scare me to select fabric, and I am starting to enjoy it!! Dina |
Thanks again! I have decided to go purple, purple, and white.

grab some graph paper and some crayons. do some color testing. see what you like. it is your quilt. i have never seen any "rules" about what color goes where.
have fun. |
I think it is youthful and bright and cheerful. Great job!!

It is perfect...no special order on the rail fence....very cheerful!!!

Love how this pattern can be used so many ways. Love your quilt.
