when the quilt is finished and beautiful (as it will be) you will have a cute story to tell for the next 30 years of his life...how he survived near disaster....so laugh about it now too....
kisses and licks sound like a good idea too.... |
You never know how much children pay attention to what you are doing on your machine. My 2yr. old grandson watched me sew and while his mom was in another room(now it was unplugged and pushed to the center of the table where she thought he could not get to it)decided to plug it back up turn it on and sew,but the needle got his little finger and he could not get away.He wasn't hurt just mad because mom caught him and had to get him loose.

I think I'm going to have to unplug my machine anytime a certain young man pictured in my avatar comes over. I always find it switched on and the light going whenever he's been in the house. Grampa just doesn't keep a good enuf eye on him when I'm not at home.

If he's old enough to know bette, he needs to be disciplined... sounds like he definitely was not 'trying to help'. I, too, bet if you let him know how upset you were he will never do it again - to be safe make sure he has a reminder - like the KP duty suggested... or any number of other chores. BUT make sure he gets a hug too! ;)
