Look under Trash to Treasures for some of my Recycled Denim projects. I've also made several denim quilts. I made a red, black and white log cabin that has so far been my favorite use of denim.

Hey, maybe if I start cutting up my clothes for quilts I could make myself lose weight! (Mostly I just lose a pound or two, then gain it back.)

You are an inspiration! :-D

I made a rag quilt for DS for Christmas. Make squares with red plaid flannel on the back. Used old jeans, it does not need batting, since jeans and flannel were heavy enough.

YES. MADE A RAG QUILT FOR MY GRANDAUGHTER USING FLANNEL FOR THE BACK. USED 6" BLOCKS. SWEATSIRT JACKETS ARE REALLY NICE. LEGS OF THE JEANS MAKE A GOOD TOTE BAG.

When my mom passed and we sisters were cleaning out her closets, my sis took all her jeans (she had lots, she was a goodwill shopper). Sis has made a lap size quilt for all 8 grandkids as a keepsake for them. The quilts are treasured.

Two of my grandsons made denim crazy quilts at my house when they were in grade scool. They picked a sports design cotton for the back and I got enough to make them each pj's. They both took classes in high school and teachers were amazed that they knew how to sew already and had them helping other students. They are both in college now. My, how time flies.

I have used denim a lot, I keep a stash of it from cutting up old jeans, there are so many things you can do with it, and it lasts really well. I have two quilts that are so nice and warm in the winter, and I am gathering strips to try a rug.

Each high school graduate (or young adult heading out into the world on their own) receives a quilt made from jeans saved from their lifetime and whatever else comes to mind. My daughter has a quilt with pockets and embroidery and hand drawn pictures from her jeans and all her favorite t-shirts from growing up.

Have done that
