why on earth would hubs be unhappy! He got off the hook for a BD present - with all that loot he wouldnt even have to get a Christmas present -lol!

Maybe he didnt want to help carry it all in the house!!! Figure up the pricing and tell him he just saved X amt of dollars where you wont be running out buying this much, sharet

Forget reasoning with hubby. Learn THE LOOK. When properly done, he will just turn and leave the room.

Make him a little gift....a shirt that says, "IT'S ALL ABOUT ME". He'll get the idea.

I divorced a man who had a complaint about EVERYTHING that interested me, even if it never cost him a penny. He is now married to a woman who watches his every step, and spends all his money, and complains about EVERYTHING he does. Isn't Karma wonderful, lol?

You really scored big. I think you deserve it. Happy Birthday.

Not sure why DH would be annoyed, your friend just saved you some big bucks in the budget! We all need friends like this!

Tell hubby how much you saved not having to go out and buy all of that fabric and other stuff.

Why is hubby ticked off? He should be happy that you won't need to spend any money for a long while buying such supplies.

I agree whatever it is he needs to get over it.

This is why I say to quilting friends who say, "oh, this fabric is just toooo pretty to cut into," or say, "I'm saving this fabric for something special!"...............I say: USE IT NOW, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT TOMORROW WILL BRING!
After two of my best friends, and addicted quilters, died unexpectedly.....I ended up cleaning out their sewing rooms. It broke my heart to see the things they had been saving for 'someday'...........so, cut into it, use it, enjoy it! LIFE IS SHORT!

that's what I say too. Tomorrow might not come for you and then someone else will have to take care of your stuff and you might not like what they do with it. Course if you are dead you won't know, but I bet you could loook down and they might be starting a fire with it. I think my DH probably would. Told him 2 of the kids get it not the burn pit.
