I actually like the features of the fussy cut ruler, but I already have the standard Omnigrid rulers in several sizes and don't see the need to buy another one. I would go to JoAnn's with a coupon and see what they have. Both of these look pretty pricy to me.

Welcome from South-central Kentucky! Glad to have you with us.
I vote for the standard too. |
I needed a 12in. ruler to sq.-up some blocks so I went to the local Lowe's and bought a tile for 49 cents. It was a leftover or something but it works and the price was right.
Lowe's was 1/4 mile and other shops were a lot further. |
I like both rulers. I have a 15 in. square that I like but if I was going to buy a 12 1/2, I think I would buy the fussy cut one. It is only about $5 more and it will give you the correct square up size for a lot more blocks. It would also come in handy for fussy cutting special motifs without having to measure out from the motif to mark each side.

Welcome - welcome!!
I use a standard ruler for that. I do have something similar to the fussy cut by another company but rarely use it. My square ruler is actually a 15.5" ruler. My other go to ruler is http://www.olfa.co.jp/en/body/detail/67.html I use this one daily. |
I have 15.5 x 15.5 and I love it .

Welcome from Georgia.
I have a 12.5 square ruler and a 6.5x24.5 rectangle ruler. I use the rectangle more than the square. |

I think you'd get more for the $ with the square up ruler. I know I use mine more than just the regular square ruler. The double diagonals are soooo nicee to have when squaring up any size less than the ruler.
