Your fabric choices are lovely, and if you will just take your time, you will do fine. If you don't have a "Buddy" nearby to help you, ask any questions you need to here for clarification. Any and all of us will be glad to give you a hand. Good luck with this lovely quilt, and be sure to post pics as you go along.

Hi. I have a brain injury as well. This past year I started by taking some interest courses on quilting. I started some lap quilts but didn't finish during the course time. I then joined a Quilt Guild and some members are going to help me through some of the parts I don't understand. Good luck with your quilt.

What looks and is simple can be the most confusing
and complicated thing ever.

I have had three serious head injuries and two in the last year. I know how things are. You will just have to write down things to keep it straight for a while. I do that.

dreamer2009 01-26-2011 01:51 PM

Thank you everyone...
Hugs to you all...
Encouragement means the world to people with brain injuries as we have a real bad habit of beating ourselves up.

Margie 01-26-2011 01:52 PM

mistycatbaby 01-26-2011 05:46 PM

Where in Canada were you born? I'm originally from Ontario but my husband teaches at Mt Allison University here in New Brunswick. We will be retiring back to Ontario in a few years.

I know exactly how you felt choosing the fabrics. I go with what I see on a pattern or by colours in a family eg the Moda fabric lines.

I have to do things a few times to learn them. Even then the next time I go to do it I may forget again.

DonnaB 01-26-2011 06:26 PM

Your colors are lovely, wish I could pick them out like that.

needles3thread 01-26-2011 06:58 PM
