That is really sad. I hope someone else in the area will open up a shop that's close to you.

Sorry for your loss. I had to deal with that a few years ago and still miss it a lot.

I guess the fabric has got so high that shops just can't stay in
business and make anything. Most are just renting a place, rent
is probably getting way out of reach for them. That is just my
opinion.

It's true, that with the economic downturn... those of us who can... really need to support our LQS's. Even if it's only a $10 purchase, at least it's something.

Yeah, it's too bad that a bunch of folks couldn't get together and move it to a no or low rent option. Would have to make sure it's zoned commercial though...

an online business cannot replace the loss of the learning/gathering place....

We had 4 LQS up until the first part of 2011, now we have only 2. Economy and family issues caused 2 to close. Sad.
