That's so neat Jeanne! I found a website you can order this image from in various sizes:

How cool ... I've heard of St. Rose of Lima ... but never as a stitching saint !
|
Nice to know - the hospital I work at is called St. Rose DeLima & I have made a few quilting friends there that I'll have to share this with!
|
Must get one for my sewing room - maybe my mitered borders would have looked better today!!! Thanks for the info, great thing to know.

We have schools and churches here with that name. I love the plaque. Good to know we quilters have someone to pray to if things don't go right. I am not catholic, wonder if that makes a difference.

A stitching and gardening saint! How good is that. I don't think you get to be a saint unless you have a terribly difficult life....St Rose was fortunate in the fact persecution and a horrible death wasn't part of her existence. This has been such a good thread....got us all checking her bio, so as usual a visit to the QB got the grey matter working:)

Where can we get the plaque? Love it! I looked online, but didn't find anything like it.

Oh so between St Anthony (Patron of lost things and persons) and St Rose my quilting should be exceptional from now on. Thanks for the info.
